Impressions Therapy Direct Pay

What is Direct Pay?
Instead of using insurance, services are paid for directly by the patient to the provider on the date of service.

Benefits of direct pay?

  • Focus is on patient care and coming up with a treatment plan that is individualized for you or your child’s needs.

  • By cutting insurance companies out of the equation, therapists can spend more time focusing on patient care and less on jumping through insurance hoops.

  • Therapy can start right away! No need to wait for referrals, prior authorizations or being deemed “medically necessary”.

  • Patient care is not restricted by the amount of sessions allowed by your insurance plan. You can come as frequently or infrequently as you’d like.

  • You pick the therapist that is the right fit for you. No need to search for an in-network provider.

  • Depending on your insurance coverage, it may be more affordable.

  • No surprise bills! Transparent fees!

Can I afford direct pay care?
By eliminating insurance companies, we actually charge less for our services than a traditional practice. You can still use your FSA or HSA to pay for services. Still today mental health services are poorly covered by insurance, although the demand is very high and nearly everyone can benefit from therapy. If you are uninsured, have a high deductible plan, or looking to reduce your out of pocket expenses for healthcare, direct pay is a great option for you.

Will my insurance reimburse me?
Impressions Therapy and the therapists are considered out-of-network for all insurance plans. Your insurance company may or may not reimburse you for out-of-network services, depending on your specific insurance plan. Although we do not file insurance claims, you are welcome to submit your own claims for possible reimbursement. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to understand your plan’s out-of-network coverage. We cannot make any guarantees regarding whether you will be reimbursed by your insurance plan. If you have questions, we encourage you to speak directly with your insurance company or benefits manager. If you are interested in reimbursement we highly recommend contacting your insurance company prior to booking an appointment to learn more. You will want to ask your insurance company what reimbursement you can expect for CPT codes 90837, 90791 and 90834 by an out-of-network provider.
